ANALISIS WASTE PADA INDUSTRI MEBEL DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN LEAN MANUFACTURING Studi Kasus: CV. JATI MAS SEMARANG

Abstract

Analisis Waste pada Industri Mebel dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Lean Manufacturing (Studi Kasus: CV Jati mas Semarang). Industri mebel merupakan salah satu industri yang berkembang pesat pada saat sekarang ini. Hal ini menuntut dibutuhkannya perbaikan dan pengembangan sehingga dapat meningkatkan performansi perusahaan dan tingkat persaingan dengan kompetitor. CV JATI MAS merupakan salah satu industri furniture yang memproduksi segala jenis alat rumah tangga seperti lemari, rak, kitchen set, dan lain – lain dengan menerapkan sistem design to order. Adapun fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi waste dan menganalisis penyebab waste pada produksi lemari, kitchen set, ranjang, dan rak di CV JATI MAS. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Lean Manufacturing Value Stream Mapping. Lean Manufacturing merupakan pendekatan untuk mengefisienkan sistem dengan mereduksi waste. Pendekatan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan tools Value Stream Mapping (VSM) untuk memahami kondisi umum aliran informasi, aliran material dan proses produksi pada CV JATI MAS. Dari VSM dapat diketahui aktivitas-aktivitas yang memiliki waste dalam proses keseluruhan perusahaan. Berdasarkan setiap jenis waste yang dimiliki, maka dapat diberikan saran perbaikan kepada perusahaan terhadap semua jenis waste yang dimiliki pada proses aliran material dan proses produksi perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat empat jenis waste yaitu waiting, overprocessing, inventory dan unnecessary motion

Waste Analysis on Furniture Industry Using Lean Manufacturing Approach (Case Study: CV Jati mas Semarang). The furniture industry is one of the fastest growing industries at the present time. This requires the need for improvement and development so as to improve the company's performance and the level of competition with competitors. CV JATI MAS is one of the furniture industry that produces all kinds of household appliance such as cabinets, shelves, kitchen set, and others by applying design to order system. The focus of this research is to identify the waste and analyze the causes of waste in the production of cabinets, kitchen sets, beds, and shelves in CV JATI MAS. The approach used is Lean Manufacturing Value Stream Mapping. Lean Manufacturing is an approach to streamline the system by reducing waste. This approach is done using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) tools to understand the general condition of information flow, material flow and production process in CV JATI MAS. From VSM can be known activities that have waste in the whole process of the company. Based on each type of waste owned, it can be given suggestions for improvement to the company of all types of waste owned in the process of material flow and production process company. The results showed there are four types of waste that is waiting, overprocessing, inventory and unnecessary motion.
