This study uses the historical method to analyse the influence of arabica coffee cultivation in the Sindoro-Sumbing area. One of the leading plantation products in Temanggung is coffee. Arabica coffee cultivated in Temanggung can only be grown at an altitude of 600-2000 metres above sea level, namely around the Sindoro-Sumbing area. The development of arabica coffee cultivation has experienced ups and downs. In its management, farmers innovate to make ground coffee and their own brands and some farmers open household industry businesses in the form of processing places and coffee shops. Another impact of arabica coffee cultivation is the formation of farmer groups. Arabica coffee farmers in the Sindoro-Sumbing area are members of farmer groups formed in their respective sub-districts and assisted by Field Agricultural Extension Officers (PPLs). Assistance from PPLs and other assistance from the government is a form of the district government's attention to arabica coffee farmers in the Sindoro-Sumbing area. Success in arabica coffee cultivation also affects the economic life of farmers in terms of income, family welfare and education.
