PENERAPAN TERAPI KOGNITIF PERILAKU UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEPATUHAN OBAT PADA INDIVIDU DENGAN GANGGUAN BIPOLAR: STUDI KASUS

Abstract

Ketidakpatuhan obat menjadi salah satu hambatan besar dalam terapi gangguan bipolar. Pikiran distortif yang dimiliki oleh individu terkait obat maupun terapi menjadi kontributor dalam memunculkan perilaku ketidakpatuhan obat. Terapi kognitif perilaku merupakan terapi yang menyasar pikiran distortif yang nantinya akan memengaruhi perubahan perilaku maupun perasaan individu. Penelitian dengan metode studi kasus tunggal ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan penerapan terapi kognitif perilaku dalam meningkatkan kepatuhan obat pada individu dengan gangguan bipolar. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga sebab yang berkontribusi terhadap ketidakpatuhan obat pada penanganan gangguan bipolar seperti, rendahnya pengetahuan akan gangguan dan perlakuan, sikap negatif terhadap obat, dan sikap terhadap diagnosis. Selain itu, terapi kognitif perilaku mampu meningkatkan kepatuhan obat pada klien yang terdiagnosis memiliki gangguan bipolar. Rekomendasi penelitian selanjutnya adalah dapat berfokus pada proses penerimaan subjektif terhadap diagnosis maupun keadaan karena faktor tersebut dapat memengaruhi kepatuhan obat pada individu dengan gangguan bipolar.
