PERSEPSI GENERASI Z TERHADAP KOMUNIKASI PUBLIK DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 mengubah perilaku dan kebiasaan masyarakat, termasuk generasi Z. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui persepsi generasi Z terhadap komunikasi publik pemerintah. Penelitian eksploratif dilakukan dengan pendekatan indigenous psychology. Penelitian melibatkan 259 subjek generasi Z yang berstatus sebagai mahasiswa dan berusia kurang dari 23 tahun. Data kuesioner open-ended dianalisis menggunakan analisis konten. Penelitian menemukan bahwa subjek percaya informasi terkait COVID-19 dengan pertimbangan kelogisan informasi (50,44%), kredibilitas komunikator (38,64%), dan sentuhan emosional (10,91%). Subjek mempersepsi Satgas COVID-19 dan IDI sebagai komunikator terpercaya. Temuan berimplikasi pada urgensi komunikasi publik yang mampu meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik generasi Z guna terciptanya kepatuhan terhadap protokol kesehatan.
