SELF COMPASSION DAN STRES PENGASUHAN ORANG TUA DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self compassion dengan tingkat stres pengasuhan orang tua di masa pandemi COVID-19. Populasi penelitian adalah orang tua siswa SD Negeri 04 Sendangmulyo Semarang berjumlah 558 orang tua. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 255 orang tua yang diperoleh melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan modifikasi Self compassion Scale (SCS) untuk mengukur self compassion (17 aitem; α = 0,849) dan adaptasi Parental Stress Scale (PSS) untuk mengukur stres pengasuhan (14 aitem; α = 0,836). Hasil analisis data menggunakan Spearman’s Rho menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara self compassion dengan stres pengasuhan orang tua (rs = -0,330; p ≤ 0,001). Artinya semakin tinggi self compassion yang dimiliki, maka semakin rendah stres pengasuhan yang dialami orang tua. Bagi orang tua yang merasa terbebani dalam mengasuh anaknya disarankan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan self-compassion.
