HUBUNGAN ANTARA PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL DAN HAPPINESS PADA MAHASISWA TAHUN PERTAMA DAN KEDUA PROGRAM STUDI KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS DIPONEGORO

Abstract

Happiness adalah kondisi psikologi yang positif dan ditandai oleh tingginya kepuasan terhadap kehidupan yang dimiliki, tingginya tingkat emosi positif, dan rendahnya tingkat emosi negatif. Psychological capital adalah kapasitas positif yang dimiliki individu yang dikarakteristikkan dengan self efficacy, hope, optimisme, dan resiliensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara psychological capital dan happiness pada mahasiswa tahun pertama dan kedua Program Studi Kedokteran Universitas Diponegoro. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 207 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua skala psikologi yaitu skala happiness (25 aitem valid, α = .891) dan skala psychological capital (34 aitem valid, α = .920). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (rxy) =.753 dengan nilai p = .000 (p < .001) yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara variabel psychological capital dengan happiness. Semakin tinggi psychological capital semakin tinggi pula happiness. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan pada penelitian ini sebesar 56,7% dan sisanya 43,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diukur dalam penelitian ini.
