Abstract
Fenomena pemanasan global akibat emisi gas rumah kaca telah memicu regulasi ketat di industri maritim, salah satunya melalui mandat Energy Ef iciency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) oleh International Maritime Organization(IMO). Penelitian ini mengkaji performa sistem Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) pada kapal peti kemas MVEver Obeysebagai strategi teknis dalam mengoptimalkan indeks efisiensi energi. Melalui pendekatan metodologis yangmenggabungkan studi literatur dengan analisis data operasional primer dan sekunder, dilakukan kalkulasi terhadappotensi konversi energi panas menjadi daya listrik berdasarkan profil operasional kapal. Analisis perbandingannilai EEXI dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi dampak sistem sebelum dan sesudah integrasi teknologi.Temuanriset menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme WHR mampu menyuplai output daya harian yang fluktuatif, dengan capaianpuncaksebesar 295,724 kWh pada bulan pertama dan titik terendah 186,472 kWh pada bulan kesepuluh. Pemanfaatanenergi hasil pemulihan panas ini secara efektif mereduksi beban kerja generator diesel melalui substitusi pasokan listrikkapal. Secara substansial, implementasi sistem ini berhasil menurunkan parameter EEXI rata-rata sebesar 6,28%, denganefisiensi reduksi emisi maksimal menyentuh angka 18,26%. Hasil studi ini menegaskan bahwa adopsi teknologi WHRmerupakan solusi kompetitif dalam mempercepat dekarbonisasi dan pengurangan emisi pelayaran serta menjaminkepatuhan armada terhadap standar lingkungan internasional.
