Abstract

Conversion of Tanker vessel into ship-shaped offshore is prefered to be used because of the advantages in terms of cost and tachnical. In conversion process, the most alteration of piping system commonly was done in Offloading Piping System. The calculation of the minimum pipe thickness and head loss can affect the pump power and Finally affect the cost of conversion and offloading operation system.

According to the analysis and calculation, We foud that maximum pressure of Operational Offloading line with use 1 unit vertical pump, booster pump and does not use metering skid from cargo oil tank no. 5 center with flow rate 1480 m3/h, the pressure is 274,626  Psi. Then the result of the new pipe thickness design is 11.9 mm with Material JIS G34557 STPY 400. While the value of minimum total drop pressure with using Operational Offloading line with use 1 unit vertical pump, does not use booster pump and metering skid from cargo oil tank no. 2 center with flow rate 2500 m3/h, the minimum total drop pressure is 3,503 m head from the old design, 3,144 m head from the new design of new line pipe, 3,044 m head from the the new design of new line pipe and pipe thickness. Then finally, we solve the pump power, 1327 KW from the old design, 1291 KW from the new design of new line pipe, 1288 KW from the the new design of new line pipe and pipe thickness.
