Abstract

Fuel filter merupakan komponen penting pada sistem bahan bakar engine CFM56-5B karena berfungsi menahan partikel padat, produk korosi, dan debris agar tidak terbawa menuju komponen pengatur aliran dan fuel nozzle. Salah satu gangguan yang dapat terjadi pada komponen ini adalah fuel filter clogging, yaitu penyumbatan media filter akibat akumulasi kontaminan sehingga luas pori efektif berkurang dan tekanan diferensial meningkat. Artikel ini bertujuan menyusun kajian teknis mengenai alur terjadinya fuel filter clogging, sumber kontaminan, dampaknya terhadap sistem bahan bakar, serta implikasinya terhadap perawatan preventif. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif terhadap referensi sistem bahan bakar pesawat, kontaminasi bahan bakar, wear debris, dan preventive maintenance. Kontribusi artikel ini adalah penyusunan kerangka konseptual yang menghubungkan sumber kontaminan, pembentukan deposit pada filter, kenaikan differential pressure, potensi bypass, dan konsekuensi terhadap komponen downstream. Kajian ini diposisikan sebagai dasar konseptual untuk penelitian lanjutan mengenai evaluasi interval penggantian fuel filter berbasis analisis reliabilitas, analisis debris, dan pertimbangan perawatan preventif secara lebih kuantitatif.
