Abstract

Perkembangan bahan bakar alternatif seperti HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) dan FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester) telah membuka peluang untuk mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap solar murni dan menurunkan emisi dari sektor transportasi dan energi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi performa operasional dan karakteristik emisi dari mesin diesel generator set Cummins model N150G4 berkapasitas 150 kVA dengan menggunakan empat jenis bahan bakar yang berbeda: B0 (solar murni), D35 (campuran 65% solar dan 35% HVO), B30D5 (campuran 30% FAME dan 5% HVO), dan B35 (35% FAME). Evaluasi dilakukan berdasarkan parameter konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik (SFC), efisiensi total, heat rate, daya nyata, tekanan oli, temperatur pendingin, temperatur gas buang, kebisingan, serta emisi gas buang (CO, NO, NO₂, NOx, dan SO₂). Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa bahan bakar D35 memiliki kinerja paling optimal dengan nilai skor agregasi tertinggi berdasarkan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), yaitu 3,31948, diikuti oleh B0 (2,84422), B30D5 (2,82298), dan B35 (2,71411). Bahan bakar D35 mencatat konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik minimum sebesar 0,235 kg/kWh dan efisiensi total tertinggi sebesar 35,8% pada beban maksimum. Karakteristik bahan bakar seperti nilai kalor tinggi, kandungan sulfur rendah, dan viskositas kinematik yang ideal berkontribusi terhadap kinerja unggul bahan bakar D35.
