ANALISIS PENGARUH KONSENTRASI LARUTAN TERHADAP PROSES WET SPINNING DALAM PEMBUATAN SERAT POLYLACTIC ACID–POLYCAPROLACTONE (PLA–PCL)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konsentrasi larutan terhadap karakteristik serat yang dihasilkan dari campuran Polylactic Acid (PLA) dan Polycaprolactone (PCL) menggunakan metode wet spinning. Dua variasi konsentrasi larutan, yaitu 15% dan 12,5% (w/v), dengan rasio campuran PLA:PCL sebesar 50:50, digunakan untuk mengevaluasi morfologi dan diameter serat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa larutan dengan konsentrasi lebih tinggi dan viskositas yang lebih besar menghasilkan serat dengan diameter rata-rata lebih besar (0,369 mm), sedangkan larutan dengan konsentrasi lebih rendah menghasilkan serat yang lebih halus dan berdiameter lebih kecil (0,125 mm). Fenomena penyusutan diameter serat juga diamati secara signifikan dari bagian atas hingga bawah serat. Variasi konsentrasi larutan dan ukuran nozzle terbukti memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil morfologi dan dimensi serat PLA–PCL.
