Abstract

Konveyor merupakan peralatan pemindahan dalam industri yang digunakan untuk memindahkan suatu benda dengan jarak yang tetap serta muatan yang tetap. Konveyor terbagi menjadi beberapa jenis, salah satu yang paling umum digunakan adalah konveyor sabuk. Konveyor sabuk terdiri dari beberapa komponen utama diantaranya ialah: belt, pulley, sistem pengerak, dan idler. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang sebuah konveyor menggunakan bantuan CAD (Computer aided design) dengan kapasitas 2000 ton/jam dengan material angkut batu bara. Perancangan menggunakan CAD menghasilkan geometri sebagai berikut, panjang drive pulley 1600 mm, diameter drive pulley 800 mm, panjang tail pulley 1600 mm, diameter tail pulley 630 mm, panjang bend/snub pulley 1600 mm, diameter bend/snub pulley 500 mm, panjang shaft pulley 2180 mm, diameter shaft pulley 130 mm, panjang carrying idler 530 mm, diameter carrying idler 159 mm, panjang return idler 1600 mm, diameter return idler 159 mm. Analisis FEA yang dilakukan pada drive pulley menghasilkan total deformasi maksimal 0,50757 mm dan minimum 0,00038796 mm, shear stress maksimal 93,062 Mpa dan minimum -89,963 Mpa, dan tekanan kontak maksimal 0,19748 Mpa dan minimum 0 Mpa. Analisis FEA yang dilakukan pada take-up pulley menghasilkan total deformasi maksimal 0,27867 mm dan minimum 0 mm, shear stress maksimal 82,097 Mpa dan minimum -85,04 Mpa.
