Abstract

Dissolved oxygen (DO) adalah parameter penting dalam kualitas air untuk budidaya udang vaname. Untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi DO di tambak udang, metode aerasi menggunakan aerator jenis fine-pore aeration tubes dapat diterapkan. Alat ini memiliki beberapa keunggulan seperti efisiensi aerasi tinggi, instalasi mudah, dan risiko penyumbatan rendah. Dalam penggunaannya, fine-pore aeration tubes bisa diatur sesuai kebutuhan sehingga tata letak mempengaruhi performa aerasi. Penelitian menggunakan metode computational fluid dynamics (CFD) dilakukan untuk menganalisis distribusi DO, sirkulasi air, dan performa aerasi pada berbagai tata letak aerator yaitu straight-type, ring-type, dan square-type di tambak udang vaname Marine Science Techno Park (MSTP)-Undip. Hasil menunjukkan tata letak straight-type memberikan distribusi DO terbaik dengan penyebaran merata di seluruh kolam. Namun, ketiga tata letak tidak menunjukkan sirkulasi air yang baik karena aliran air hanya terjadi di sekitar gelembung udara yang naik.
