Abstract

Penggunaan vortex generator dalam meningkatkan efisiensi perpindahan panas telah menjadi perhatian utama dalam penelitian terkini. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menginvestigasi dampak penggunaan convex delta winglet vortex generators (CxDWPs VGs) terhadap karakteristik evaluasi kinerja pada aliran udara dalam saluran persegi empat. Melalui pendekatan simulasi numerik, berbagai variasi jumlah dan konfigurasi VGs, termasuk pengaturan CxDWPs dan PCxDWPs dengan satu, dua, dan tiga pasang VGs, dieksplorasi dalam susunan in-line maupun staggered. Uji coba dilakukan dengan memvariasikan kecepatan aliran udara dari 0,4 m/s hingga 2 m/s, dengan interval 0,2 m/s. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tiga pasang CxDWPs memberikan kriteria evaluasi kinerja tertinggi, mencapai nilai 1,38. Selain itu, pemasangan CxDWPs dalam susunan staggered menunjukkan peningkatan perpindahan panas yang signifikan, dengan lonjakan mencapai 64,9% dibandingkan dengan baseline.
