Abstract
This study focuses on the appropriateness of the Comperessed Natural Gas use policy in the BRT fleet in Semarang City. The issues raised are related to the government's policy regarding Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), which can be considered as a solution to reduce air pollution levels compared to the use of other modes of transportation. This study aims to determine the appropriate use of Comperessed Natural Gas for Bus Rapid Trans Semarang as a vehicle choice by the government, with the method in this study using a descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study indicate that there is an inaccuracy in the policy in the program by the government and field implementers due to limited supporting facilities such as Gas Filling Stations (SPBG) which are unevenly distributed and dependency on external parties, budgeting, and the use of vehicles that are still unable to support the use of Comperessed Natural Gas.
