PERAN STAKEHOLDER DALAM PENURUNAN POLUSI UDARA DI TANGERANG SELATAN
Abstract
Air pollution is an increasingly worrying environmental problem, especially in urban areas with high levels of activity. South Tangerang became the city with the worst air quality in Indonesia in 2023 and 2024, although there was a slight decrease in pollution levels. This study aims to analyze the role of stakeholders in efforts to reduce air pollution levels in South Tangerang and identify factors that contribute to air pollution management. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data obtained through interviews with various stakeholders, including BMKG, Nafas.co.id, PT IKPP and the community. The results of the study show that stakeholders have carried out their roles but are not evenly distributed in air pollution management. Policy creators, such as local governments, have not fully involved all stakeholders in strategic decision-making. Coordination between related parties is still limited, so that policy implementation is less effective. In addition, low community participation in supporting environmentally friendly policies and weak commitment from the private sector in implementing clean technology are major challenges in controlling air pollution. Based on these findings, it is necessary to strengthen coordination between stakeholders, increase education for the community, and have stricter policies in reducing pollutant emissions. By optimizing the role of stakeholders, it is hoped that the level of air pollution in South Tangerang can be reduced more effectively in the future.
