PARTISIPASI PEREMPUAN DALAM PEMENANGAN PASANGAN CALON GUBERNUR PRAMONO ANUNG–RANO KARNO PADA PILKADA DKI JAKARTA 2024

Abstract

Women’s participation in electoral contests extends beyond exercising voting rights to include political mobilization, political communication, and involvement in campaign organizations. This study analyzes how women’s participation was formed and the forms of women’s involvement in the electoral victory of gubernatorial candidates Pramono Anung–Rano Karno in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 purposively selected informants, documentation, and literature review, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings show that women’s participation developed through a gradual process beginning with individual political awareness, family support, involvement in community networks, political mobilization, campaign activities, and formal participation as campaign team members, volunteers, and polling-station witnesses. Mobilization operated through community networks, interpersonal door-to-door approaches, and digital media. The study identifies three layers of participation: strategic participants, mobilizers, and supporters. These layers form an interconnected political mobilization ecosystem. The study proposes the concept of multi-layered participation, conceptualizing women’s political participation as a dynamic process connecting individual awareness with social and political networks.
