The background of this research stems from the party’s electoral decline in the 2019 election, which resulted in the loss of parliamentary representation, as well as internal conflicts that emerged following the leadership transition from Wiranto to OSO. The purpose of this research is to analyze Hanura’s political strategy before and during OSO’s leadership in its efforts to restore electoral strength. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews and document analysis. The subjects of the study consisted of 10 internal figures from Hanura, including the General Chairman, Secretary General, and other central board members. The analysis framework is based on the concept of party management, emphasizing three main indicators: organization, leadership, and cadre development. The findings indicate that prior to OSO’s leadership, Hanura’s strategy heavily relied on the central figure of Wiranto, with a top- down approach. Under OSO’s leadership, however, the party adopted a more structured and participative strategy through the implementation of the 5S principles (structure, system, skill, speed, and target), greater involvement of youth and women, and the strengthening of top-down communication. OSO also aimed to rebuild public trust through participatory approaches and integrity-based cadre development. The study concludes that Hanura's political strategy under OSO reflects a more systematic and inclusive direction compared to previous periods, although significant challenges remain in regaining voter trust for the 2024 election. }, pages = {62--74} url = {https://ejournal3.undip.ac.id/index.php/jpgs/article/view/53968} }
