Bacterial resistance to antibiotics and the impact of this resistance are problems that are being faced, so ongoing efforts are needed to look for new antibiotic alternatives derived from natural ingredients, including mangrove plants. Mangrove leaf extract is known to show activity against various bacterial strains. The abundant presence of Acanthus ilicifolius mangroves in mangrove ecosystems opens up great opportunities for the exploration of metabolites that have the potential to act as natural antibacterial agents. This research was carried out through several stages, extraction, evaporation, phytochemical screening, and antibacterial activity test.
