PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN CHIKUNGUNYA DI KOTA SALATIGA (STUDI DI KELURAHAN SALATIGA)

Abstract
In 2021, several provinces in Indonesia have reported cases of chikungunya, including West Java, Bali and Central Java. The city of Salatiga is one of the districts/cities in Central Java that has reported new cases after the last one was discovered in 2012. According to data from the Salatiga City Health Office in October 2021 - January 2022 there were 292 cases of chikungunya and the highest cases were in Salatiga Village with a total of 116 cases. The purpose of this study was to analyze Chikungunya prevention behavior in Salatiga Village, Sidorejo District, Salatiga City. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design. This research was conducted with a target population of the entire Salatiga Village community, namely 14,346 people with a sample of 66 respondents taken by simple random sampling using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection using closed-question questionnaire filling. Data were analyzed by chi square test. The results showed that the practice of chikungunya prevention in Salatiga Village was influenced by the type of work (p=0.001), level of knowledge (p=0.000), and attitude (p=0.000). In conclusion, people who have good knowledge, attitudes, and chikungunya prevention practices tend not to be affected by chikungunya cases and vice versa.
