Abstract

Abstract: Based on sales data, PT Pura Barutama Engineering Unit experienced a significant decline in salses caused by low self-efficacy and work engagement. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of self-efficacy on performance through work engagement. This type of research is explanatory research by taking saturated samples. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 81 respondents employees of the production department of PT Pura Barutama Kudus Engineering Unit with a Likert Scale as the measurement scale. Data analysis using Microsoft Excel and SPSS ver21. The research results show self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on performance with a t value of 13.058>1.990 and sig 0.000. Self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on work engagement with a t value of 12.573>1.990 and sig 0.000. Work engagement has a significant positive effect on performance with a t value of 10.729>1.990 and sig 0.000. Work engagement provides a partial mediating effect between self-efficacy and performance with a t value of 2.645>1.990. This research suggests that companies conduct training to increase competency and also provide rewards for those with good performance to increase work morale.

Abstraksi: Berdasarkan data penjualan, PT Pura Barutama Unit Engineering mengalami penurunan signifikan yang disebabkan oleh rendahnya self-efficacy dan work engagement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap kinerja melalui work engagement. Tipe penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan mengambil sampel jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 81 responden karyawan bagian produksi PT Pura Barutama Unit Engineering Kudus dengan Skala Likert sebagai skala pengukurannya. Analisis data menggunakan Microsoft Excel dan SPSS ver21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan self-efficacy berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja dengan nilai t hitung 13,058>1,990 dan sig 0,000. Self-efficacy berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap work engagement dengan nilai t hitung 12,573>1,990 dan sig 0,000. Work engagement berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja dengan nilai t hitung 10,729>1,990 dan sig 0,000. Work engagement terbukti memberikan pengaruh mediasi parsial antara self-efficacy terhadap kinerja dengan t hitung 2,645>1,990. Penelitian ini menyarankan kepada perusahaan untuk melakukan training untuk peningkatan kompetensi dan juga memberikan reward bagi yang memiliki kinerja baik untuk meningkatkan semangat kerja.
