Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tingkat pemanfaatan Artemia sp. beku, Artemia sp. awetan dan cacing sutra segar untuk pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup larva lele sangkuriang. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimental, menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Ikan diberi 3 macam pakan perlakuan yaitu Artemia sp. beku, Artemia sp. awetan, dan cacing sutra segar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pengembangan Wilayah Pantai (LPWP) Jepara selama 20 hari. Variabel yang diamati meliputi laju pertumbuhan relatif (RGR W dan RGR L ), efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan (EPP), protein efisiensi rasio (PER), dan kelangsungan hidup (SR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis pakan yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh (P<0.05) terhadap RGR W , EPP, PER, dan SR, namun tidak berpengaruh (P>0.05) terhadap RGR L . Nilai untuk RGR W , RGR L , EPP, PER, dan SR sebesar 10.05, 11.62%/hari, 14.24, 0.23, 60.18%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian pakan terbaik untuk larva ikan lele sangkuriang adalah cacing sutra segar. Feed played an important role on the growth and survival rate of fish larvae stage. Silk worm was often used as life food for catfish larvae. Instead of silk worm, the other life food for catfish larvae was Artemia sp. It can be used in the form of frozen and preserved. This research was aimed to study the utilization rate of frozen Artemia sp., preserved Artemia sp., and fresh silk worm on the growth and survival rate of catfish “sangkuriang” larvae. The experimental method used completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replicates. The trial fish were fed on frozen Artemia sp., preserved Artemia sp., and fresh silk worm respectively. The research was conducted in The Coastal Development Laboratory (LPWP) Jepara for 20 days. Variables measured included relative growth rate weight and length, feed utilization efficiency, protein efficiency ratio and survival rate. The result of research was different types of life food (P<0.05) had effect for RGR W , EPP, PER, and SR, but it had not effect (P>0.05) for RGR L . Those values for RGR W , RGR L , EPP, PER, and SR were 10.05, 11.62%/day, 14.24, 0.23, 60.18%, respectively.
