Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini: perlakuan A (tanpa enzim fitase), B (enzim fitase dengan dosis 500 mg/kg pakan), C (enzim fitase dengan dosis 1000 mg/kg pakan), dan D (enzim fitase dengan dosis 1500 mg/kg pakan). Data yang diamati meliputi laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR), rasio efisiensi protein (PER), rasio konversi pakan (FCR), dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan enzim fitase dalam pakan buatan memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap SGR, PER dan memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap FCR. Persentase dosis optimal yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan bandeng yaitu penambahan enzim fitase 1030 mg/kg pada pakan buatan mampu menghasilkan SGR 2,03%/hari. Kualitas air pada media pemeliharaan terdapat pada kisaran yang layak untuk budidaya ikan bandeng. This research was aimed to know the effect of addition phytase enzyme in artificial feed and to know optimum dossage of phytase enzyme in artificial feed to feed specific growth rate of milkfish ( Chanos chanos ). This research was conducted on February to April 2015 in Center of Brackish Water Aquaculture (BBPBAP), Jepara. The fish was used of this research is milkfish with average weight 3.55 ± 0.08 g/fish and stock density 1 fish/L. This research was conducted with experimenthal method using completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replicated. Treatment in this research were A (without phytase enzyme), B (phytase enzyme with dossage 500 mg/kg feed), C (phytase enzyme with dossage 1000 mg/kg feed), and D (phytase enzyme with dossage 1500 mg/kg feed). Data observed were specific growth rate, protein efficiency ratio, feed conversion ratio , and water quality. The result of this research shown that addition of phytase enzyme giving a significantly effect (P<0.05) for SGR, PER and giving a very significantly effect (P<0.01) for FCR. Optimal dossage percentage which can increase milkfish growth were addition of phytase enzyme 1030 mg/kg in artificial feed can result SGR 2.03%/day.
