Abstract
Online games have become social spaces for adolescents, yet interactions in them are often marked by insults, mockery, and intimidation. This study examines the influence of TikTok gaming live stream exposure and peer group communication intensity on verbal aggressive behavior among adolescent Roblox users. Grounded in Social Learning Theory, streamers are positioned as media models and peers as models from the immediate social environment. The study used a positivistic paradigm with an explanatory quantitative approach. Data were col lected through an online survey of 101 respondents aged 13–18 years selected by purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS. The results show that both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on verbal aggressive behavior (F = 28.653; p < 0.001), explaining 35.6% of its variance (Adjusted R² = 0.356). Partially, TikTok gaming live stream exposure (β = 0.318; p < 0.001) and peer group communication intensity (β = 0.517; p < 0.001) each have a positive and significant effect, with peer group communication intensity showing the stronger association. These findings are consistent with Social Learning Theory, although the study did not directly measure the stages of social learning.
