Abstract
The waste problem in Kampung Nelayan Tambakrejo, Semarang, requires urgent attention due to the high volume of waste and the low level of public awareness regarding proper waste management. Organic waste management using maggots presents an innovative solution with both environmental and economic benefits. This project aimed to increase community involvement in implementing maggot-based organic waste management systems. The initiative utilized various strategies, including advertising, public relations, printed materials, personal selling, and special promotional items. The creation of visual content, both digital and printed, served as a key social marketing effort to raise awareness, generate interest and desire, and ultimately encourage behavioral change among residents. As a result, the program successfully led 29 households in Tambakrejo to adopt maggot-based organic waste management practices
