Hal ini akan berakibat pada perusahaan terutama dalam pengeluaran biaya. Mengatasi hal tersebut dapat menggunakan beberapa metode khususnya metode forecasting dan EOQ. Metode forecasting sendiri digunakan untuk melihat berapa jumlah persediaan optimal pada periode selanjutnya. Berdasar hasil ramalan menggunakan 5 metode, didapatkan hasil ramalan terbaik menggunakan metode holts wimters. Metode holts winter, didapatkan nilai MAPE sebesar 6,4%. Metode selanjutnya yang digunakan ialah menghitung jumlah safety stock, dan reorder point. Berdasar hasil perhitungan, jumlah safety stock ialah sebesar 2,024 billet, nilai minimal sebesar 7.684 billet, dan nilai maksimal sebesar 13.343 billet. Reorder point dilakukan jika billet telah mencapai jumlah 7.684 billet, dengan jumlah pemesanan sebanyak 5.659 billet sebanyak 12x pemesanan.
