Penurunan biaya merupakan salah satu tujuan utama dalam aplikasi rantai pasokan, yang dapat dicapai melalui efisiensi sistem distribusi dengan pemilihan alat atau model transportasi yang tepat. PT Sungai Rangit, anak perusahaan PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk di Kalimantan Tengah, menghadapi tantangan dalam pengangkutan tandan buah segar (TBS) kelapa sawit ke pabrik kelapa sawit (PKS) akibat rute angkutan yang belum optimal. Pengangkutan menggunakan dump truck di Divisi 3 Kebun Sukamara seringkali didasarkan pada intuisi supir, menyebabkan variasi keputusan rute yang berdampak pada keterlambatan pengiriman TBS. Masalah ini mengakibatkan tidak tercapainya empat sasaran utama transportasi TBS: menjaga kualitas asam lemak bebas (FFA), kelancaran kapasitas pengolahan di PKS, keamanan TBS, dan biaya transportasi yang minimal. Over ripe TBS dan masalah kapasitas angkut berlebih juga menjadi perhatian utama yang mempengaruhi mutu produk akhir dan keselamatan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perencanaan rute angkutan yang matang dan optimal untuk mengatasi keterlambatan dan kelebihan muatan. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan adalah metode Nearest Neighbor, yang terbukti mampu meminimalkan total jarak tempuh dan biaya transportasi, sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas distribusi TBS di PT Sungai Rangit.

Abstract

Reducing costs is one of the main goals in supply chain applications, which can be achieved through distribution system efficiency by selecting the right means or transportation model. PT Sungai Rangit, a subsidiary of PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk in Central Kalimantan, faces challenges in transporting palm oil fresh fruit bunches (FFB) to palm oil mills (PKS) due to suboptimal transport routes. Transportation using dump trucks in Division 3 Kebun Sukamara is often based on the driver's intuition, causing variations in route decisions which have an impact on delays in FFB delivery. This problem resulted in the four main targets of FFB transportation not being achieved: maintaining the quality of free fatty acids (FFA), smooth processing capacity at the PKS, FFB safety, and minimal transportation costs. Over-ripe FFB and the problem of excess carrying capacity are also major concerns that affect final product quality and safety. Therefore, careful and optimal transportation route planning is needed to overcome delays and overloading. One approach that can be used is the Nearest Neighbor method, which has been proven to be able to minimize the total distance traveled and transportation costs, thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of FFB distribution at PT Sungai Rangit.
