Kegagalan dalam mencapai target harian tonase Hot Rolled Coil dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor seperti kinerja unit internal, kinerja unit vendor eksternal, maupun kinerja tenaga kerja bongkar muat PT Krakatau Argo Logistics. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan analisis perbaikan kinerja transfer Hot Rolled Coil pada PT Krakatau Argo Logistics kinerja unit internal khususnya pada aspek proses pengiriman Hot Rolled Coil dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, dan Control) dan metode FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis). Hasil pengukuran didapatkan bahwa waktu delay saat bekerja menjadi faktor utama kegagalan tersebut dengan persentase sebesar 57,51% - 76,06% dari waktu bekerja. Analisa masalah dilakukan dengan fishbone diagram untuk mengetahui akar masalah. Akar masalah yang didapatkan digunakan untuk metode FMEA dalam rangka menentukan penyebab kegagalan prioritas yang harus diperbaiki. Proses pencarian coil yang lama, unit forklift yang sering berhenti sementara, dan antrian unit trailer yang tidak teratur menjadi penyebab kegalalan prioritas utama yang harus diperbaiki oleh perusahaan. Failure to achieve the daily Hot Rolled Coil tonnage target can be caused by various factors such as internal unit performance, external vendor unit performance, and the performance of PT Krakatau Argo Logistics' loading and unloading workforce. The research was carried out by analyzing improvements in Hot Rolled Coil transfer performance at PT Krakatau Argo Logistics, internal unit performance, especially in the aspect of the Hot Rolled Coil delivery process using the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) and the FMEA method (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis). The measurement results showed that delay time while working was the main factor in failure with a percentage of 57.51% - 76.06% of working time. Problem analysis is carried out using a fishbone diagram to find out the root of the problem. The root of the problem obtained is used for the FMEA method in order to determine the causes of priority failures that must be corrected. The long coil search process, forklift units that often stop temporarily, and irregular queues for trailer units are the causes of top priority failures that must be corrected by the company.
