Sebuah perusahaan otomotif (PT. XYZ) menggunakan berbagai mesin untuk proses produksi salah satunya mesin press 350T. Mesin sudah beroperasi sejak tahun 1978 dan sering mengalami gangguan yang menyebabkan terhambatnya produksi. Diketahui produksi bulan September 2023 sampai Januari 2024, mesin tidak dapat mencapai target produksi yang telah ditentukan. Target yang tidak 100% terpenuhi disebabkan karena adanya downtime mesin dalam proses produksi. Tercatat bahwa mesin dapat mengalami downtime hingga 5 jam. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian dilakukan untuk mengukur nilai efisiensi mesin dengan aspek availiability, performance, dan quality. TPM merupakan strategi perawatan untuk mencapai zero breakdown dan zero defect serta meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivotas dengan overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). OEE menjadi alat ukur penerapan TPM untuk meminimalisasi six big losses. PT XYZ memperoleh nilai OEE 73% yang termasuk dalam kategori perusahaan standar. Losses terbesar terdapat pada idling & minor stoppage losses.

Abstract

[Title: Analysis of Six Big Losses to Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on a 350T Press Machine in an Automotive Company] An automotive company (PT. XYZ) uses various machines for the production process, one of which is a 350T press machine. The machine has been operating since 1978 and often experiences problems which cause delays in the production process. It is known that production from September 2023 to January 2024, the machine will not be able to reach the predetermined production target. The target was not met 100% due to machine downtime in the production process. It is noted that the machine can experience up to 5 hours of downtime. Based on this, research was conducted to measure the value of machine efficiency using the aspects of availability, performance and quality. TPM is a maintenance strategy to achieve zero breakdown and zero defects as well as increasing efficiency and effectiveness with overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). OEE is a measuring tool for implementing TPM to minimize the six big losses. PT XYZ obtained an OEE score of 73% which is included in the standard company category. The biggest losses are in idling & minor stoppage losses..
