PT Tarindo Juwana, merupakan sebuah perusahaan manufaktur di Juwana, Pati, Jawa Tengah, memproduksi kran air dengan bahan PVC dan kuningan. Proses produksi gotri sering mengalami cacat produk yang signifikan, seperti cacat rongga udara, cacat lubang jarum, dan cacat turning, yang mengakibatkan pemborosan sumber daya dan peningkatan biaya produksi. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) untuk mengidentifikasi jenis dan faktor penyebab cacat, serta memberikan usulan perbaikan guna meminimalkan persentase produk cacat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Six Sigma efektif dalam mengurangi tingkat cacat produk dan meningkatkan kualitas produksi di PT Tarindo Juwana. The Six Sigma approach relies on a strong understanding of facts, data, statistical analysis, as well as careful processing, improvement, and embedding of business processes. In this research, the Six Sigma method is used to analyze quality control in the production of gotri (ball valve) water faucets at PT Tarindo Juwana. PT Tarindo Juwana, a manufacturing company in Juwana, Pati, Central Java, produces water faucets made of PVC and brass. The gotri production process frequently experiences significant product defects, such as air cavity defects, needle hole defects, and turning defects, leading to resource waste and increased production costs. This study adopts the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach to identify the types and causes of defects, and provide improvement suggestions to minimize the percentage of defective products. The results of the study show that the implementation of Six Sigma is effective in reducing the defect rate and improving production quality at PT Tarindo Juwana.. Abstrak
Six Sigma merupakan suatu sistem yang komprehensif dan fleksibel yang bertujuan untuk mencapai, mempertahankan, dan memaksimalkan kesuksesan bisnis. Pendekatan Six Sigma mengandalkan pemahaman yang kuat terhadap fakta, data, analisis statistik, serta pemrosesan, peningkatan, dan penyematan proses bisnis secara cermat. Pada penelitian ini, metode six sigma digunakan untuk menganalisis pengendalian kualitas pada produksi gotri (ball valve) kran air di PT Tarindo Juwana. PT Tarindo Juwana, merupakan sebuah perusahaan manufaktur di Juwana, Pati, Jawa Tengah, memproduksi kran air dengan bahan PVC dan kuningan. Proses produksi gotri sering mengalami cacat produk yang signifikan, seperti cacat rongga udara, cacat lubang jarum, dan cacat turning, yang mengakibatkan pemborosan sumber daya dan peningkatan biaya produksi. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) untuk mengidentifikasi jenis dan faktor penyebab cacat, serta memberikan usulan perbaikan guna meminimalkan persentase produk cacat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Six Sigma efektif dalam mengurangi tingkat cacat produk dan meningkatkan kualitas produksi di PT Tarindo Juwana.
