Salah satu produk yang dihasilkan PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk adalah kain grey. Namun pada bulan Oktober 2022 – Desember 2022, tingkat cacat produk kain grey masih melebihi target yaitu sebesar 0,446%. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan peningkatan kualitas dengan menggunakan pendekatan six sigma. Dalam implementasinya, metode ini menggunakan pendekatan DMAIC, yaitu define, measure, analyze, improve, dan control. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga jenis cacat dominan yang teridentifikasi selama produksi kain grey, antara lain rapat + renggang, lain – lain, dan pakan kendor. Berdasarkan perhitungan, diketahui bahwa nilai DPMO dan nilai sigma proses pada produksi kain grey berturut – turut adalah sebesar 74329,0065 dan 2,9443. Rekomendasi perbaikan cacat diberikan berdasarkan identifikasi akar masalah menggunakan fishbone diagram. Usulan perbaikan utama yang dapat diterapkan adalah dengan membuat jadwal pergantian sparepart, menerapkan pelatihan kepada operator dalam merawat dan memperbaiki mesin, serta melakukan evaluasi dan penerapan saran SOP pengecekan mesin harian, mingguan dan bulanan. PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk is one of the largest manufacturing companies engaged in the textile and garment industry in Southeast Asia.. One of the products produced by PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk is gray cloth. However, in October 2022 - December 2022, the defect rate for gray cloth products still exceeded the target, which was 0.446%. Therefore, it is necessary to improve quality using the six sigma approach. In its implementation, this method uses the DMAIC approach, namely define, measure, analyze, improve, and control. The results of the study show that there are three dominant types of defects identified during the production of gray cloth, including tight + tenuous, others, and loose weft. Based on the calculations, it is known that the DPMO value and process sigma value in the production of gray cloth are 74329.0065 and 2.9443 respectively. Recommendations for repairing defects are given based on identifying the root of the problem using a fishbone diagram. The main improvement suggestions that can be implemented are by making a schedule for replacing spare parts, implementing training for operators in maintaining and repairing machines, as well as evaluating and implementing SOP recommendations for daily, weekly and monthly machine checks.
