ANALISIS PREFERENSI KONSUMEN TERHADAP PRODUK COCA-COLA, PEPSI DAN BIG COLA DI KOTA SEMARANG DENGAN MODEL MULTI ATRIBUT FISHBEIN

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah perusahaan industri minuman ringan di Indonesia dari tahun 2008 sampai dengan tahun 2012 menjadi salah satu pemicu terjadinya peningkatan persaingan antar produsen minuman ringan berkarbonasi jenis Cola khususnya di Kota Semarang. Coca-Cola yang sebelumnya bersaing ketat dengan Pepsi untuk menguasai pasar industri minuman ringan berkarbonasi di Indonesia,  mulai tahun 2011 mendapatkan pesaing baru dengan merek Big Cola. Penjualan merek Big Cola pada tahun 2012 mengalami peningkatan penjualan sampai dengan 1.900% dari tahun sebelumnya karena ditopang oleh harga yang murah dengan volume kemasan yang lebih besar. Maka dari itu diperlukan sebuah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi preferensi konsumen terhadap merek Coca-Cola, Pepsi dan Big Cola melalui atribut-atribut produk yang mempengaruhi konsumen serta menganalisis atribut yang paling mempengaruhi konsumen dalam pengambilan keputusan pembelian terhadap produk minuman ringan berkarbonasi jenis Cola. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Model Multi Atribut Fishbein dengan teknik pengambilan data melalui pengisian kuesioner kepada 100 responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah preferensi konsumen terhadap merek Big Cola dengan skor sikap konsumen (Ao) sebesar 71,29, mengungguli merek Coca-Cola sebesar 69,69 dan merek Pepsi sebesar 64,23. Adapun atribut yang paling mempengaruhi konsumen dalam pengambilan keputusan pembelian produk minuman ringan berkarbonasi jenis Cola adalah atribut Harga dengan skor evaluasi kepentingan atribut sebesar 3,96.

 

Abstract

 

The increasing number of soft drink companies in Indonesia from 2008 to 2012 became the triggers of increased Cola soft drinks companies specially in Semarang. Previously, Coca-Cola was tightly competiting with Pepsi before a new brand of Cola soft drinks – Big Cola – became their new competitor since 2011. On 2012, the sales of Big Cola have increased up to 1.900% from the previous year because it has a lower price with the larger packs than two other brands. Therefore required a study aiming to identify consumer preferences towards a brand Coca-Cola,  Pepsi and Big Cola through product attributes that influence consumers and also to analyze attributes that most influence consumers in making purchasing decisions on Cola soft drinks products. The method used in this study is the Multi Attribute Fishbein with data capture techniques through questionnaires to 100 respondents. The results from this study are consumer prefer the Big Cola brand with an average overall consumer attitudes score (Ao) of 71.29, outperform Coca-Cola brand at 69.69 and 64.23 for Pepsi brand. The attributes that most influence the purchase decisions of consumers in Cola soft drinks products is the Price attribute which has an interest attributes evaluation score of 3.96.
