PT Daiwabo Garment Indonesia merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dalam industri garmen dengan memproduksi pakaian jadi menggunakan metode make to order. PT Daiwabo Garment Indonesia memiliki beberapa divisi, salah satunya divisi produksi.

Abstract

[Product Quality Control of Production Division Sewing Departement Factory I PT Daiwabo Garment Indonesia using Six Sigma Method] PT Daiwabo Garment Indonesia is one of the manufacturing companies engaged in the garment industry by producing apparel using the make to order method. PT Daiwabo Garment Indonesia has several divisions, one of them is the production division. The production division at factory I PT Daiwabo Garment Indonesia produces several products such as woven trunks, pants, pajamas, and others using several production steps, namely cutting, sewing, finishing, and packaging, to become finished good. In the sewing process, defects are often encountered that affect the quality of the product and the production process. To reduce defects, quality control is carried out using the six sigma method. The steps taken in this study are based on the DMAIC cycle (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control). The results showed there are two types of defects that most often appeared as critical to quality, namely missed stitches and puckering. In producing one million products, there are still 5253 units of defects which indicate that the process is still worth 4,023. The causes of the defect was analyzed using a cause and effect diagram. After that, target measurements are carried out to find out what percentage of DPMO reduction and sigma increase are needed, then recommendations for improvement described in the action plans related to man, machine, method, material, and environmental factors.
