Sehingga pada perusahaan ini diterapkannya perancangan safetystock dan forecasting demand. Peramalan (forecasting) merupakan kegiatan meramalkan permintaan akan produk dan jasa diwaktu mendatang dan bagian – bagiannya adalah sangat penting dalam perencanaan dan pengawasan produksi. Sedangkan safety stock berfungsi untuk melindungi kesalahan dalam memprediksi permintaan selama lead time. Besarnya nilai safety stock bergantung pada ketidakpastian pasokan maupun permintaan. Pada situasi normal, ketidakpastian pasokan bisa diawali dengan standar deviasi lead time dari supplier, yaitu waktu antar perusahaan memesan sampai material atau barang diterima. Kata Kunci: Safetystock, Forecasting, Lead Time Abstract PT. Bintang Putra Prima is a company that processes raw materials into finished materials which is the process wants to become a leading company as a distributor of wood flooring, in this case a production design is needed. So that this company applies safety stock design and demand forecasting. Forecasting is an activity to predict the demand for products and services in the future and its parts are very important in planning and controlling production. Meanwhile, safety stock serves to protect against errors in predicting demand during lead times. The value of safety stock depends on the uncertainty of supply and demand. In normal situations, supply uncertainty can be initiated by the standard deviation of the lead time from the supplier, which is the time between companies ordering until the material or goods are received.
