Kondisi pola penyimpanan dan penyusunan barang yang dilakukan secara acak dan kurang teratur akan mengakibatkan terjadinya penumpukkan barang. Maka dari itu dilaksanakan implementasi penempatan dan penyusunan barang menggunakan metode class based storage. Tahapan metode class based storage adalah menentukan lokasi berdasarkan kelas yang mana kelas A harus dekat akses keluar masuk, sebaliknya kelas B tidak harus begitu dekat dan kelas C bisa sangat jauh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan besar material handling pada layout gudang sebelum perbaikan sebesar 3.668.522 meter selama 6 bulan dan besar material handling pada layout gudang usulan sebesar 1.753.734 meter selama 6 bulan. Selain itu juga memperoleh pembagian kelas untuk penentuan jauh dekatnya dengan akses keluar masuk. Pada kelas A terdapat tipe kulkas SSS15, SS16, SM18 dan RB21 sedangkan kelas B terdapat SS17 sedangkan kelas C terdapat RB24. Kata Kunci: Tata Letak Fasilitas, Gudang Finished Goods, Class Based Storage ABSTRACT The object of the research was carried out in the K Goods Warehouse PT. Hartono Istana Teknologi Demak branch, which is a meeting of collecting finished goods. The conditions of the pattern of storage and arranging random and irregular items will be delayed. Therefore the implementation of placement and preparation was carried out using class-based storage methods. The stage of class-based storage method is to determine the location based on which class A class must be close to in and out access, whereas class B does not have to be very close and class C can be very far away. The results of this study indicate the amount of material handling in the warehouse layout before repairs of 3,668,522 meters for 6 months and the amount of material handling in the warehouse layout requires 1,753,734 meters for 6 months. Besides that, they also receive class distribution to get access in and out. Class A is available in type SSS15, SS16, SM18 and RB21 while class B is available SS17 while class C is available RB24 Keywords: layout of facilities, finished warehouse goods, class based storage }, url = {https://ejournal3.undip.ac.id/index.php/ieoj/article/view/33663} }
