UPAYA MEREDUKSI WASTE MATERIAL UTAMA PADA PROSES PRODUKSI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS PERUSAHAAN DALAM RANGKA PENERAPAN GREEN PRODUCTIVITY DI PERUSAHAAN (Studi Kasus : PT. Ungaran Printing Apparel)

PT Ungaran Printing Apparel merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri tekstil printing pakaian. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah pada beberapa periode produktivitas perusahaan masih rendah dan dampak limbah yang dapat merusak lingkungan.

Selain itu, masalah lain yang dihadapi perusahaan adalah jumlah waste yang cukup tinggi, terutama limbah cat hasil proses produksi . Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pengurangan limbah (waste reduction). Pendekatan Green Productivity dianggap relevan karena GP berawal dari sebuah strategi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas sekaligus kinerja lingkungan pada saat bersamaan. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan usaha untuk meminimalisir penggunaan cat pada proses printing sehingga diharapkan konsumsi material utama yang terbuang dapat berkurang sekaligus mengurangi jumlah limbah cair yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan alternatif yang diajukan, dipilih alternatif 1 sebagai alternatif solusi, yaitu mengganti film dengan spesifikasi keakuratan tinggi dan memiliki pemisah antar warna cat sehingga dapat mengurangi pemborosan cat karena kesalahan penuangan warna gradasi. Alternatif ini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas perusahaan sebesar 4,3 %, mereduksi waste sebesar 25 % per harinya dan memberikan penghematan kepada perusahaan sebesar Rp120.677.400 per tahun.

ABSTRACT

PT Ungaran Printing Apparel is a company specializing in industrial textile printing outfit. Problems occured in a period of productivity is still low, and the impact of wastes that may damage the environment. In addition, other companies problems is the amount of waste is quite high, especially waste of paint from production process. Therefore, companies needs to reduction paint waste (waste reduction). Approach to Green Productivity is considered relevant because GP started from a strategy to enchance the productivity and environment performance at the same time. In this study, attempt to minimize uses of paint in printing process to reduce the main material consumption and reduce the number of liquid waste at the same time. Based on the proposd alternative,the first alternative was selected as an alternative solution, i.e. replace film with better film that have high accuracy and separator between colors, so it can reduce waste paint pouring color gradation in error. This alternative can increase the productivity of the company amounted to 4,3% reduce waste by 25% per day and provides a savings to the company of Rp 120.677.400 per year.
