ANALISIS LINGKUNGAN FISIK KERJA PADA DEPARTEMEN FINISHING (Studi Kasus pada PT AUSTENITE FOUNDRY)

Abstract

PT. Austenite Foundry merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang terletak di Kawasan Industri Medan. PT. Austenite Foundry berpengalaman dalam bidang indusri pengecoran/penuangan baja atau logam. Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh PT. Austenite Foundry adalah kurang baiknya lingkungan fisik kerja yang ada di PT. Austenite Foundry khususnya di departemen finishing, baik itu faktor pencahayaan, temperatur, maupun kebisingan. Terlihat kesulitan dari para operator ketika melakukan pekerjaan pembubutan yaitu pada saat melihat ukuran maupun angka yang tertera pada gambar teknik. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui kondisi lingkungan fisik kerja aktual dan membandingkan dengan kondisi lingkungan fisik kerja ideal yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah. Pengukuran pencahayaan, temperatur, dan kebisingan pada 5 (lima) titik ruangan yang berbeda pada departemen finishing dilakukan dengan menggunakan Luxmeter, Termometer, dan Sound Level Meter. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh tingkat pencahayaan sebesar 156,6 Lux, tingkat temperatur sebesar 30,18 ⁰C, dan tingkat kebisigan sebesar 89,8 dB yang artinya adalah untuk kondisi lingkungan fisik kerja pada departemen finishing PT. Austenite Foundry masih terdapat di luar Nilai Ambang Batas yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah.

[Analysis of work physical environment in finishing department, Case Study : PT. Austenite Foundry]. PT. Austenite Foundry is a manufacturing company located in the Medan Industrial Area. PT. Austenite Foundry is experienced in the steel or metal casting industry. One of the problems faced by PT. Austenite Foundry is a physical work environment that is not good at PT. Austenite Foundry, especially in the finishing department, both lighting, temperature and noise. The difficulty of the operators when doing the turning work is seen when looking at the size and number shown on the technical drawing. Therefore, research is conducted to find out the physical condition of the actual work and compare it with the physical conditions of the ideal work set by the government. Measurement of lighting, temperature, and noise at 5 (five) different room points in the finishing department was done using Luxmeter, Thermometer, and Sound Level Meter. From the results of the study obtained a level of lighting of 156.6 Lux, a temperature level of 30.18 ⁰C, and a noise level of 89.8 dB which means that for the physical environmental conditions of work in the finishing department of PT. Austenite Foundry is still outside the threshold value set by the government.
