Abstract

EVALUASI TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE DENGAN PENDEKATAN OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS (OEE)  PADA MESIN CARDING PT. ABC. PT.ABC sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang produksi yarn dan tekstil terbesar di Indonesia. Salah satu jenis produk yang dihasilkan, yaitu produk yarn yang menjadi produk unggulan perusahaan. Produk yarn diproses menggunakan beberapa mesin antara lain mesin blowing, carding, Hylap/combing, drawing, roving, ring frame, dan winding. Berdasarkan data evaluasi kinerja fasilitas produksi periode Desember 2016, ditemukan indikasi losses pada mesin carding. Losses tersebut ditandai dengan adanya downtime, speed losses, dan defects pada mesin tersebut. Berdasarkan perhitungan OEE, ditemukan bahwa nilai availability ratio dari mesin carding hanya sebesar 63,053%, dan nilai OEE keseluruhan masih jauh dari standar nilai OEE ideal yaitu sebesar 48,014%. Pada perawatan mesin, dikenal istilah Six Big Losses yang merupakan enam kerugian yang dapat mengurangi tingkat efektifitas mesin. Six Big Losses dikategorikan menjadi tiga kategori utama yaitu Downtime, Speed Losses, dan Defects. Munculnya ketiga indikasi losses pada data evaluasi kinerja fasilitas PT. ABC menunjukkan bahwa mesin yang digunakan pada produksi yarn belum bekerja secara efektif.  Sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk meminimalisasi terjadinya losses pada mesin produksi yarn, yaitu mesin carding. Identifikasi terhadap penyebab losses terbesar digunakan untuk menemukan bagian yang bermasalah pada kinerja fasilitas produksi dan faktor penyebabnya. Diharapkan peneliti dapat memberi saran  perbaikan pada sistem agar PT. ABC dapat meminimalisasi terjadinya losses pada mesin yang digunakan.

 

ABSTRACT

TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE EVALUATION WITH OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS (OEE) APPROACH TO CARDING MACHINE PT. ABC. PT.ABC as a company engaged in the production of yarn and the largest textiles in Indonesia. One type of product namely yarn products that become the company's flagship product. Yarn products are processed using several machines including blowing machine, carding, Hylap / combing, drawing, roving, ring frame, and winding. Based on the performance evaluation data of production facilities for the period of December 2016, there are indications of losses on the carding machine. Losses are characterized by downtime, speed losses, and defects on the machine. Based on the OEE calculation, it was found that the availability ratio of the carding machine was only 63.053%, and the overall OEE value was still far from the ideal OEE standard value of 48.014%. In machine maintenance that defined as Six Big Losses which are six losses, can reduce the level of engine effectiveness. Six Big Losses are categorized into three main categories: Downtime, Speed Losses, and Defects. The emergence of the three indications of losses on performance evaluation data of PT. ABC shows that the machines used in yarn production have not worked effectively. So it takes effort to minimize the occurrence of losses on yarn production machine, namely carding machine. The identification of the biggest cause of losses is used to find the problematic part of the performance of the production facility and its causal factors. It is expected that the researcher can give suggestions for improvement on the system so that PT. ABC can minimize the occurrence of losses on the machine used.
