USULAN PERBAIKAN TATA LETAK PENEMPATAN BAHAN BAKU DI GUDANG MENGGUNAKAN METODE ABC ANALYSIS PADA PT SANDANG ASIA MAJU ABADI SEMARANG

Abstract

PT Sandang Asia Maju Abadi (SAMA) merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang garmen dengan memproduksi celana jeans. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengusulkan perbaikan tata letak penempatan barang di gudang bahan baku dengan menggunakan metode ABC analysis. Dalam penerapan tata letak bahan baku PT Sandang Asia Maju Abadi menggunakan penataan similarity. Penataan tersebut kurang sesuai, karena bahan baku yang sering digunakan terletak jauh dari ruang QC & Shorting yang selanjutnya digunakan untuk produksi. Metode ABC Analysis membagi barang menjadi tiga kelompok, yaitu kelas A yang paling dekat dengan akses keluar-masuk, kelas B berada diantara kelas A dan C, sedangkan kelas C berada pada area yang palinh jauh dari akses keluar-masuk. Metode ABC Analysis menjadikan barang-barang yang tingkat pemakainnya tinggi diletakkan dekat dengan tempat pemrosesan selanjutnya yakni ruang QC & Shorting. Hasil dari penerapan metode ABC Analysis ini dapat mengurangi jarak perpindahan operator sampai 483 meter atau 35,11 %.

(The Proposed Improvements to The Layout of The Placement In The Warehouse of Raw Material Using ABC Analysis Method In PT. Sandang Asia Maju Abadi). PT Sandang Asia Maju Abadi (SAMA) is a company engaged in the field of the garment with the manufacture of jeans. The purpose of this research was to propose improvements to the layout of the placement of the goods in the warehouse of raw materials by using the ABC method of analysis. In the implementation of the layout of the raw materials of PT Sandang Asia Maju Abadi setup using the similarity. The setup is less appropriate, because the raw materials that is often used is located far away from the room them shorting & QC used for production. The method of ABC Analysis divides items into three groups, namely the class A is closest to the access of transitions, class B between class A and C, while class C is at the most remote area of access of transitions. ABC analysis method of making goods that are of a high level of frequency out placed close to where the next processing room QC & shorting. The result of the application of ABC Analysis method, this can reduce material handling operators up to 483 meters or 35,11%.
