EVALUASI WEBSITE E-LEARNING DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE USABILITY TESTING

Abstract

Evaluasi website e-learning dengan menggunakan metode usability testing. Website digunakan oleh institusi pendidikan sebagai media informasi online yang bisa diakses oleh siapapun, kapanpun dan dimanapun. Di Teknik Industri Undip pada saat ini sudah memiliki e-learning yang dibuat pada tahun 2009 yang sekarang kondisinya tidak aktif, serta kondisi ujiannya masih bersifat konvensional. Dari hasil penelitian sebelumnya oleh Wiwoho pada tahun 2016 telah dilakukan perancangan pembangunan website dengan menggunakan metode Learning Management System (LMS) pada Teknik Industri Undip. Dari hasil penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa hasil desain produk final telah disesuaikan saran mahasiswa dan masukan dari dosen dengan hasil e-learning berbasis LMS cocok untuk materi pengayaan, forum diskusi, kuis serta pengumpulan tugas. Tetapi perlu dilakukan evaluasi lebih lanjut dalam mendesain website e-learning untuk memudahkan dosen serta mahasiswa dalam pengoperasiannya. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan usability testing pada rancangan website tersebut untuk mengetahui sejauh mana rancangan website e-learning mudah dipelajari, mudah digunakan, efisien dan tingkat kepuasan user dalam menggunakan berdasarkan komponen utama yaitu learnability, efficiency dan satisfaction. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur usability adalah Single Ease Questions (SEQ) dan System Usability Scale (SUS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rancangan website memiliki nilai usability tinggi pada kategori acceptable sebanyak 67,78, kategori marginal sebanyak 26,67 sedangkan non-acceptable hanya 5,56. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan rancangan website e-learning Teknik Industri Undip sudah mampu memenuhi kriteria usable dari sebuah website.

Abstract

Evaluation of e-learning website using usability testing method. Websites are used by educational institutions as an online information medium that can be accessed by anyone, anytime and anywhere. In Industrial Engineering Undip at this time already have e-learning made in the year 2009 which is now condition is not active, and condition test is still conventional. From the results of previous research by Wiwoho in 2016 has done the design of website development using Learning Management System (LMS) method on Industrial Engineering Undip. From the results of research can be concluded that the final product design has been adjusted student suggestions and input from lecturers with LMS based e-learning results suitable for enrichment materials, discussion forums, quizzes and collection of tasks. But further evaluation is needed in designing e-learning website to facilitate lecturers and students in operation. In this research, the usability testing on the design of the website to find out the extent to which the e-learning website design easy to learn, easy to use, efficient and the level of user satisfaction in using based on the main components of learningability, efficiency and satisfaction. The methods used to measure usability are Single Ease Questions (SEQ) and System Usability Scale (SUS). The results showed that score the website design has a high usability value in the acceptable category of 67.78, the marginal category of 26.67 while non-acceptable only 5.56. These results indicate that the overall design of e-learning website Undip Industrial Engineering is able to meet the usable criteria of a website.
