Abstract

Presentasi diri merupakan usaha menimbulkan kesan tentang dirinya kepada audien. Media sosial yang sering digunakan untuk mempresentasikan diri adalah Instagram. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara harga diri dengan presentasi diri daring pada mahasiswa pengguna Instagram. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 226 mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Diponegoro, pengguna Instagram, berusia 18-22 tahun dari angkatan 2017 hingga 2019. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah proporsional stratified random sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Skala Harga Diri (39 aitem; α = 0,927) dan Skala Presentasi Diri Daring (19 aitem; α=0,851) yang disusun oleh peneliti. Analisis data menggunakan Spearmans’s Rho menunjukkan tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara harga diri dengan presentasi diri daring pada mahasiswa pengguna Instagram (rs=-0,046; p=0,491). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada mahasiswa pengguna Instagram, presentasi diri daring mereka di Instagram tidak berkorelasi dengan harga diri mereka.
