Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan keterampilan membuat inferensi terhadap pemahaman membaca dalam teks ekspositori. Pelatihan kelompok eksperimen dilakukan selama 1 x 30 menit. Ini menekankan mengaktifkan pengetahuan tentang latar belakang menggunakan metode think aloud dan pertanyaan inferensial. Kelompok kontrol tidak menerima pelatihan atau kegiatan lainnya. Kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol masing-masing terdiri dari tiga mahasiswa. Tes pemahaman membaca dibangun untuk penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan tidak meningkatkan pemahaman membaca teks ekspositori kelompok eksperimen. Penjelasan hasil dan rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya dibahas
