Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hardiness pada mahasiswa penerima beasiswa Kartu Indonesia Pintar-Kuliah (KIP-Kuliah) saat pembelajaran di masa pandemi Covid-19 pada Universitas “X” di Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan kriteria: 1) mahasiswa penerima beasiswa KIP-Kuliah; 2) sedang menjalankan kuliah. Sampel yang juga diterapkan adalah sampel kasus tipikal, dimana subjek penelitian khusus kepada mahasiswa di Universitas “X” di Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, kemudian dideskripsikan dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis tema. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa mahasiswa penerima beasiswa KIP-Kuliah menunjukkan adanya hardiness dalam proses belajar selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya upaya untuk mengatasi kesulitan yang dihadapi dan kepatuhan dalam menjalankan tugas perkuliahan dengan baik. Mahasiswa memiliki komitmen dan tantangan dalam diri untuk terus bertahan walau dalam keadaan yang penuh tekanan. Kondisi tersebut didorong oleh keadaan ekonomi keluarga, dukungan sosial teman sebaya, serta kemampuan memaknai setiap persoalan, dan religiusitas dalam menumbuhkan motivasi belajar. Perlunya peningkatan minat belajar mahasiswa agar proses belajar menjadi lebih optimal.

 

 

Abstract

 

This study aims to analyze the hardiness of students receiving the Indonesia Smart-Kuliah Card (KIP-Kuliah) scholarship while studying during the Covid-19 pandemic at the University "X" in Yogyakarta. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with the following criteria: 1) KIP-Kuliah scholarship recipients; 2) is running a lecture. The sample that is also applied is a typical case sample, where the research subject is specific to students at the "X" University in Yogyakarta. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, then described and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study show that KIP-Kuliah scholarship recipients show hardiness in the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic, which is indicated by efforts to overcome the difficulties faced and compliance in carrying out lecture assignments properly. Students have commitments and challenges within themselves to continue to survive even in stressful conditions. This condition is driven by the family's economic situation, peer social support, and the ability to interpret each issue, and religiosity in growing motivation to learn. It is necessary to increase student interest in learning so that the learning process becomes more optimal.
