KONFLIK PERAN GANDA PADA PEREMPUAN YANG BEKERJA (Studi Fenomenologi pada Keluarga Buruh Bangunan di Desa Siwarak)

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the dual role conflict experienced by female construction workers in Siwarak Village, what are the causes of this dual role conflict, what are the impacts and how to overcome the dual role conflict experienced by female construction workers in Siwarak Village. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a phenomenological study approach, where data collection was carried out through direct interviews with sources and documentation when collecting information. This method was chosen in order to obtain in-depth information regarding the dual role conflict among female construction workers in Siwarak Village. This research interview involved three mother who had a dual role, namely as a housewife and as a worker, as well as her husband and child to support the information obtained. The research results show that mothers working as construction workers in Siwarak Village experience conflicts based on time and pressure, which is indicated by not being able to balance their time between their two roles due to the work being done quite hard. Based on this, efforts can be made to overcome dual role conflict, including coping with focusing on problems such as managing time, reducing emotions, collaborating or dividing housework with the husband, carrying out good communication, and giving an understanding of why the family decided to work as a family member, construction workers. In terms of work, the foreman can give work to working mothers as construction workers who are helpful and do not require overtime work.
