PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN BELUNTAS (Pluchea indica Less) DAN KLORIN TERHADAP MASSA KALSIUM DAN MASSA PROTEIN DAGING PADA AYAM BROILER (Feeding Beluntas Leaf Extract (Pluchea indica Less) and Chlorine on Muscle Calcium and Protein Massin Broiler Chickens)
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun beluntas (Pluchea indica Less) dan klorin dalam ransum ayam broiler terhadap massa kalsium dan protein daging. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, masing-masing unit ulangan 7 ekor ayam.Perlakuan yang diterapkan T0 = ransum tanpa penambahan ekstrak beluntas dan klorin, T1 = ransum dengan penambahan ekstrak daun beluntas 2%, dan air minum dengan klorin 30 ppm, T2 = ransum dengan penambahan ekstrak daun beluntas 4%, dan air minum dengan klorin 20 ppm, T3 = ransum dengan penambahan ekstrak daun beluntas 6%, dan air minum dengan klorin 10 ppm, dan T4 = ransum dengan penambahan ekstrak daun beluntas 8%, tanpa klorin.Parameter yang diamati adalah retensi kalsium, massa kalsium daging, massa protein daging, danpertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH). Ternak yang digunakan adalahDay Old Chick (DOC) broiler sebanyak 140 ekor, dengan bobot badan awal 45,58 ±2,99 g.Ransum yang digunakan satu jenis formulasi sejak periode starter sampai finisher. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun beluntas (Pluchea indica Less) 8% setelah 5 minggu perlakuan menghasilkan protein daging sama, tetapi terjadi peningkatan pertambahan bobot badan pada ayam broiler.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ransum dengan menggunakan ekstrak daun beluntas 8% sebagai feed supplementtanpa klorin (T4)menghasilkan pertambahan bobot badan ayam broiler paling tinggi, dengan massa protein daging yang sama.

ABSTRACT
The aims of the study was to determine the effect of beluntas leaf extract (Pluchea indica Less) and chlorine on muscle calcium and protein mass in broiler.The present study was assigned in a acompletely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications ,(7 birds). Dietary treatments were as follows T0 = control diet, T1 = 2 % beluntas leaf extract and 30 ppm chlorine , T2 = 4 % beluntas leaf extract and 20 ppm chlorine , T3 = 6 % leaf extract beluntas and 10 ppm , T4 = 8 % beluntas leaf extract wihtout chlorine. Parameters measured were retention of calcium ,muscle calcium mass,muscle protein mass, and daily body weight gain (DBWG).Experimental animals were 140 birds of Day Old Chick (DOC) broilers,with initial body weight of 45.58 ± 2.99 g. One formulation ration was applied for the period from starter to finisher. The results showed that beluntas leaf extract(Pluchea indica Less) at 8 % after 5 weeks of treatment resulted in the same muscle protein mass, but it increased body weight gain in broiler chickens.Based on the results, it can be concluded that the ration by using beluntas leaf extracts 8% as a feed supplement without chlorine (T4) resulted in body weight gain of broilers highest, with the same mass of meat protein.
