Abstract

Ransum perlakuan terdiri dari 7 jenis ransum, yaitu tanpa menggunakan tepung daun ubi jalar (T0), penggunaan 1% tepung daun ubi jalar hijau (T1), 2 % tepung daun ubi jalar hijau (T2), 3 % tepung daun ubi jalar hijau (T3), 1% tepung daun ubi jalar ungu (T4), 2 % tepung daun ubi jalar ungu (T5), 3 % tepung daun ubi jalar ungu (T6).

ABSTRACT

Research was aimed to know the influence of leaves of sweet potato meal in the diet on the meat and bones ratio and mass protein meat on the broiler. Research using one hundred twelve chicken male, 20 days of age with average weights 845.20 ± 39.73 gram and cv = 4.68 %. Treatment ratio was is consist of 7 types of rations, i.e. without using the leaves of the sweet potato meal (T0), using 1% of green leaf sweet potato meal (T1), 2% of green leaf sweet potato meal (T2), 3% of green leaf sweet potato meal (T3), 1% of purple leaf sweet potato meal (T4), 2% of purple leaf sweet potato meal (T5), 3% of purple leaf sweet potato meal (T6). Experimental design using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 7 treatments and four replicates of each experimental unit contains 4 broiler chickens. The parameters were use weights, carcass weights, bone weights, meat bone ratio, mass protein meat. The results showed the use of sweet potato green leaves and purple leaves sweet potatoes in chicken broiler rations do not differ markedly (P>0.05) on carcass weights, weights of meat, bone weights, bone, and flesh of the comparison of the protein meat.
