PENGARUH UMUR TERHADAP UKURAN TESTIS, VOLUME SEMEN DAN ABNORMALITAS SPERMATOZOA PADA SAPI SIMMENTAL DI BALAI INSEMINASI BUATAN UNGARAN (Influence of Age on The Testiscular Size, Volume of Semen and Sperm Abnormalities at Simmental Cattle in Ungaran of Art

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur pada pejantan terhadap ukuran testis, abnormalitas sperma dan volume semen. Penelitian menggunakan 15 ekor pejantan sapi Simmental yaitu sapi dengan umur kurang  36 bulan sebanyak 4 ekor,  36–<72 bulan sebanyak 7 ekor dan 72-<108 bulan sebanyak 4 ekor. Metode mengelompokkan sapi berdasarkan umur. Parameter penelitian adalah pengukuran panjang, lebar dan tebal testis serta kualitas dan kuantitas spermatozoa. Analisis statistik adalah Analysis of  Variance  (Anova) pada taraf kepercayaan 5%. Jika terdapat perbedaan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan’s dan analisis korelasi regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pengukuran  pajang testis adalah umur <36 bulan = 15,4 cm, umur 36-<72 bulan = 17,9 cm dan umur 72-<108 bulan = 21,9 cm. Rata-rata lebar testis adalah umur <36 bulan = 6,1 cm, umur 36-<72 bulan = 8 cm dan umur 72-<108 bulan = 8,3 cm. Rata-rata tebal testis adalah umur <36 bulan = 4,9 cm, umur 36-<72 bulan = 6,4cm dan umur 72-<108 bulan = 7,2 cm. Rata-rata abnormalitas primer spermatozoa umur <36 bulan = 12,5%, umur 36-<72 bulan = 8,1% dan umur 72-<108 bulan = 7,9%. Sedangkan rata-rata volume semen umur <36 bulan = 7,2 ml, umur 36-<72 bulan = 7,7 ml dan umur 72-<108 bulan = 9 ml. Berdasarkan analisis data umur pejantan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap panjang testis, lebar testis, tebal testis dan abnormalitas spermatozoa. Sedangkan umur tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap volume semen. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu pejantan yang mempunyai umur 72-<108 bulan mempunyai kualitas spermatozoa baik dan mempunyai ukuran testis yang paling besar.

ABSTRACT

 

This research was conducted with the purpose to know the influence of age on the size of the testiscular, sperm abnormalities and semen volume. The research using 15 tails of Simmental cattle is less than 36 month of age as much as 4 tails, 36-<72 month as much as 7 tails and 72-<108 month as much as 4 tails The method is grouping cows by age group. The parameters of the research are measurements the length, width and thickness of testicular as well as the quality and quantity of spermatozoa. Statistical analysis is the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 5% confidence level. If there is a difference then followed by Duncan's Test and regression and analysis of correlation regression.The results showed that the average measurements length of testicular age <36 month = 15,4 cm, age 36-<72 month = 17.9 cm and age 72-<108 month = 21.9 cm.  Average width of testicular age <36 month = 6.1 cm, age 36-<72 month = 8 cm and age 72-<108 month = 8.3 cm. Average thickness of testicular age <36 month = 4.9 cm, age 36-<72 month = 6,4 cm, age 72-<108 month = 7,2 cm. Average primary abnormality of spermatozoa age <36 month = 12.5%, age 36-<72 month = 8,1%and age 72-<108 month = 7,9%. While the average volume of cement age <36 month = 7.2 ml, age 36-<72 month = 7.7 ml and  age 72-<108 month = 9 ml. Base on the data analysis of cattle age significantly (p <0.05) against testicular length, testicular width, testicular thickness and abnormalities of primary spermatozoa. While age had no effect real against volume semen. The conclusions of this research are cow who have aged 72-<108 month having good sperm quality and testicular size have the greatest.
