PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN VENTILASI (AC DAN NON-AC) TERHADAP KEBERADAAN MIKROORGANISME UDARA DI RUANG PERPUSTAKAAN (Studi Kasus:Perpustakaan Teknik Lingkungan dan Perpustakaan Biologi Fakultas MIPA Universitas Diponegoro Semarang)

Libraries are one of the rooms that potentially subjected to air pollution indoors, because there are many library book stacks – which is there are books that are rarely used and cleaned. There is also a library which has ventilation and lighting sources are inadequate. Therefore, this research aims to analyzing the effect of ventilation use (AC and Non-AC) to the existence of the microorganism in the air of the library and analyzing the influence of temperature, humidity and light intensity to the existence of air microorganisms. From the results obtained that the airbiological quality in Environmental Engineering library of Diponegoro Diponegoro University(mechanic ventilation system) is better than the airbiological quality in Biology library of University (natural ventilation system). Similarly, in the presence of people in the room, the room that contains the more visitors have a high amount of microbial colonies than if the room is empty (no visitors). This proves that the ventilation system and the existence of the human effect on the presence of colonies of microbes by air.
