PENGARUH PENGELOLAAN LIMBAH DOMESTIK DENGAN PENINGKATAN JUMLAH SEPTIC TANK TERHADAP BEBAN CEMARAN BOD DI KALI SEMARANG MENGGUNAKAN PROGRAM QUAL2E

Abstract


Semarang River is one of the drainage environment in the city, with ± 8.25 km long river that management is still using traditional methods, namely the mixing of domestic wastewater effluent (gray water) with rain water in the channel, so that the river used as a landfill by people who caused the river becomes polluted. Therefore it is necessary for domestic waste management simulation with an increased number of septic tank simulation (90% - 100%) by using QUAL2E population, then the results are compared with the standard quality PP No. 82 of 2001. In the simulations use 90% of the sewage generated contamination BOD load segment 1 (0.868 mg / l), segment 2 (0.863 mg / l), on segment 3 (6.395 mg / l), and segment 4 (10.562 mg / l). In the simulation the use of septic tanks by 95% of the population, resulting contamination BOD load segment 1 (0.75 mg / l), segment 2 (0.74 mg / l), segment 3 (5.41 mg / l), and segment 4 (9.38 mg / l). In the simulation the use of septic tanks by 100% of the population, resulting contamination BOD load segment 1 (0.75 mg / l), segment 2 (0.73 mg / l), segment 3 (5.27 mg / l), and segment 4 (9.12 mg / l). It can be concluded that more and more people use septic tanks, the lower the BOD load generated contamination.
