ANALISIS KUALITAS CO DALAM RUANG PADA PERPARKIRAN BASEMENT DAN UPPER GROUND (STUDI KASUS: MALL X, SEMARANG)

Abstract


Carbon Monoxide (CO) is one of exhaust gases issued by vehicle which come in and come out in basement parking area and upper ground. Pollutans such as CO able to accumulate in indoor parking area and harm humans in it. The increasing of CO Concentration, which derived from vehicle in parking are could affect air quality in the surrounding area and based on that statement could be affected the health status of people around the parking area like parking counter officer, parking officers and security. To provide sense of secure for the worker, in charge air quality analyze is necessary needed to compare air quality in basement parking area as well as upper ground of Mall X Semarang. The method of this research was using direct sampling at the sampling locations using CO meter and Anemometer which conducted for 12 days. Based on the result of study, the concentration of CO in basement parking area ranged from 7,00 ppm - 10,48 ppm during weekdays and 9,96 ppm - 16,48 ppm during weekend, whereas in upper ground parking area the concentration ranged from 1,38 ppm - 5,83 ppm during weekdays and 2,23 ppm - 6,13 ppm during weekend. Those indicates that there are differences of CO concentrations in both parking area, however the amount of CO concentration was below the quality standard. The statistic analysis shows that the impact of CO contaminate the health of parking counter officer, parking officers and security, those correspondents whose stay longer in parking area are expected the frequency of pain, fatigue symptoms and headache symptoms frequently.
